“Altoona's new-build split”
Hyatt Place des Moines/Altoona is an exceptional new-seeming hotel — very nice quiet clean well-kept rooms, friendly customer-focused staff (a clerk gave a dog a treat), an early check-in that saved wedding prep, a happening location across from an outlet mall with walkable restaurants, and a solid breakfast for most. Caveats though: one guest calls the breakfast the worst ever with tiny portions that ran out, kids' hallway noise ran to eleven, pillows were too hard, checkout stalled during a staff smoke break, and parking runs short.
