A beautiful older resort where golf buggies ferry guests around the hillside, Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort is a loved top-notch stay: a good friendly staffed stay, a lovely infinity pool, a refined fresh sunset dinner at Casa Boho — mountains block the sun's final dip — daily-cleaned very clean rooms, eco-minded linen on request, anytime luggage service, an anniversary cake, fruit platter and card, and a solo-traveller endorsement. Cautions: buggy dependence everywhere and a quieter low season; one guest would pick a smaller hotel next time.
