Thompson Palm Springs by Hyatt is a phenomenal great stay — the main road through downtown Palm Springs with a popular Mexican restaurant opposite, very nice talkative staff, a thoughtful in-room sunscreen, a pre-eleven-a.m. breakfast credit for elite members, the 21-and-over Upper Stories upgrade with private pool and free drinks well worth it, probably the cleanest hotel one guest has visited, an amazing pool, delicious food, a comfortable quiet room, a huge hot shower, and fast efficient valet. Caveats though: no dental kit or slippers and little free water in a very dry climate — ask the desk; the bar-then-room layout confused one guest at night, their room was not fully clean and a breakfast server was rude; and event timing and bar closing needed better communication.
