“Hyatt Regency Mainz's Rhine perch”
Hyatt Regency Mainz sits directly on the Rhine within walking distance of the historic center and Roman remains — spacious rooms with comfortable beds, an absolute-top breakfast rarely equaled, a nice wellness area (sauna and steam room could use a refresh), and friendly skilled staff. Caveats though: a booked river-view became a second-floor room overlooking only the lobby, dated fittings showed tub and sink damage, staff seemed overworked on busy days, and room-availability communication ran poor.
