Hyatt Regency Koh Samui is a very good family resort — one of Samui's best per a guest, five minutes from the airport, spacious clean rooms, an awesome breakfast spread with free-flow coconut, a beautiful lobby and evening pool, wonderful hospitality, a shuttle service, cute kid-friendly atmosphere, and a memorable giant gecko sighting. The caveats: the sea here isn't swimmable (pick Chaweng for that), there's no infrastructure near the hotel, and the resort skews toward families with children.
