Krystal Cancun is a well-located hotel-zone resort — near the nightlife epicenter and a two-minute walk to Coco Bongo, a beach and pool right by the rooms with comfy beach towels (cabanas cost extra), a lobby Starbucks, a convenience store next door, a market within walking distance, clean simple rooms, excellent food at both all-inclusive restaurants, and amazing hospitable staff (Cecilia set up an unrequested anniversary surprise); fifth-time guests and a birthday group loved it. The complaints: a beach-club membership pitch accepted as an invite ate a lot of time; the neighboring bar's music reaches the rooms — not great for sleeping; rooms are quite old with a mediocre shower; and the coffee is horrible despite the region's beans.
