Kimpton Cottonwood by IHG is a pure-class stay — a traditional classical Omaha property steps from Berkshire Hathaway on a peaceful block fifteen minutes from the airport, immaculate even in heavy rain, a spacious clean comfortable room with very comfortable beds, a top-notch pool, and an incredible basement restaurant and bar; if you are in Omaha, stay here, one guest said, ready to return in a heartbeat. Caveats though: a severe account says service was slow like the old building — two specially-arranged wake-up calls never came and delayed the itinerary, breakfast took twenty-plus minutes, and an early-flight request to cancel breakfast was refused; and the very big hotel makes the dog-walking walk long.
