Hotel 1898 is a good central stay for most — an excellent location with a pleasant staff, an amazing high-class spa, lovely indoor and outdoor pools, a rooftop bar, a so-comfortable bed that prompted a rebooking, and a nice breakfast. Caveats though: a severe report calls it a lazy hotel — a phone went missing at breakfast and repeated negotiations went nowhere — and one guest found the motif dark throughout: dark lighting, flooring and furniture, preferring light airy rooms.
