Hodelpa Gran Almirante is a comfortable Santiago hotel with a dream pool area — comfy beds and pillows, beautiful views, excellent food in a recommended restaurant, an excellent breakfast, a mall nearby, and kind family-like staff. Caveats though: a forty-minute not-ready wait, an airport pickup nightmare where the desk confused the arrival time leaving a guest stranded on a bad phone line, a never-opened room fridge, slow internet once, and one guest judged it overpriced for families with no family pool (only a jacuzzi).
