“Free-minibar Venice stay, maintenance niggles”
Palazzo Pianca draws praise for location — a couple of minutes from the water-bus pier serving airport and station routes — and for a generous, repeatedly restocked minibar that guests are delighted to find entirely free. Rooms are called stylish, clean and in some cases newly renovated or huge, with extras like slippers, a voice assistant and multiple pillows; front-desk staff are friendly enough to chat via a translation app. However, several reviews flag problems: bathroom leaks and a missing shower door, a drain smell and mosquitoes disturbing sleep, dust in one room, a so-so attitude from one receptionist, and reception sitting apart from the rooms.
