ITC Maratha, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Mumbai is a castle-like historic-feeling hotel — clean spacious rooms with good views and amazing bedding guests wanted to buy, excellent cuisine, reassuring cleanliness that suited stomach-wary travelers, late-night room service, and outstanding service unchanged nine years on for a returning guest. Two complaints: an 11pm check-in found the room unready plus improper next-day housekeeping, thin breakfast variety and too-few restaurant seats; and one of the worst — an unwelcoming eye-contact-free front desk with long check-in and checkout, though some F&B and bell staff were good.
