“Washington Duke's grounds”
Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club is a beautiful enjoyed stay — elegant six-star-feel grounds, a beautifully-furnished building, a spacious clean room with a very comfortable king bed, excellent breakfasts and excellent restaurant food, a golf course right out the door, quick room cleaning, and courteous helpful warm thoughtful staff. Caveats though: a dissent flags two challenges — rates have climbed steeply to fund recent improvements while rooms and hallways still carry deferred maintenance like an untightening lamp finial and worn desk-chair leather; another found the room a bit small.
