“Langham London, service schism”
The Langham London is the brand's headquarters — a lovely central hotel with beautiful rooms, spotless housekeeping that even arranges luggage and skincare beautifully, possibly the best bed one guest has had, fabulous-smelling toiletries, a wonderful afternoon tea, a Chinese-speaking desk option, a praised executive lounge and a souvenir candle sold at reception. Service splits sharply: most call staff warm, intuitive and accommodating without snobbery, but two reviews describe the worst service of their lives — rude, disrespectful and worse than a roadside motel — marring otherwise-great stays.
