The Chedi Muscat is an elegant, spacious resort — a private beach (pebbly; pack slippers), large gardens, three pools including the famous black pools, a gym like no other, several restaurants including a delicious wave-sound Beach Restaurant, a very good breakfast, free upgrades, and standout service with Marebel and Anton named. Minor faults: a cold teriyaki dish, limescale in a kettle never swapped, and a broken toilet on one stay.
