“Historic Hassler glamour, billing blow”
Hassler Roma is a historic icon atop the Spanish Steps — a superb rooftop bar and restaurant with breathtaking panoramic views, classy elegant rooms, excellent walkable location, and service many call exceptional. But dissent is loud: small standard rooms with dim windows, slow hot water, worn fittings and dirty corners, a hairdryer one guest wouldn't touch, small food portions — and worst, a checkout bill that added a four-figure optional tip without warning, met with visible displeasure when declined.
