MUU Bangkok, Small Luxury Hotels of the World is a great definite-gem stay — a very clean spotless hotel with delicious breakfast, very comfortable clean tidy rooms, a great Chinese restaurant and a ground-floor steakhouse, outstanding as-usual service, and a kind gesture for one guest's mom. Caveats though: a fair walk from Thong Lo station past many massage shops, a huge room whose layout is poorly planned — bathroom at the entrance, bedroom at the far end — an awkward water switch, and the beloved Quickie Burger joint has closed.
