Pine Trees Hotel Pitlochry is a delightful home-from-home on the woodland hillside above town — fabulous lovely-decor extremely comfortable rooms (a family room with living room), excellent coffee and tea facilities, complimentary Tunnocks, shortbread, and amazing snacks, arrival drinks, a good breakfast, Netflix TVs, red squirrels in the gardens, exquisite attention to detail, and couldn't-be-more-helpful staff; a guest ranks it five-star-worthy and their best hotel ever. Caveats though: open windows tempt bugs, and rain can close the forest.
