American Trade Hotel is an impeccable century-old Casco Viejo boutique — very large rooms with patios or balconies over the street, very comfortable beds, a retro elevator, a nice breakfast coffee shop, a very small rooftop pool and tiny gym, a perfect walkable safe location, reasonable good restaurant food, and fantastic above-and-beyond staff. One severe dissent: the breakfast is order-only — three or four items, pick one, no seconds, juice or oats — leaving that guest hungry and calling it a ripoff.
