“Villa Ducale's perch”
Hotel Villa Ducale is a perfect-for-some stay — the highest point on the hill giving great amazing views, an awesome location worth the Taormina markups, a good breakfast, a downtown shuttle, lovely polite staff, and clean rooms; chill-and-relax seekers get a recommend. Caveats though: dissenters call the hotel dated with construction nearby, the restaurant food not great, amenities absent, and a single arrival water bottle ridiculous when another runs several euros.
