JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa is a quiet off-Strip resort — a twenty-minute taxi from the Strip near Red Rock routes, large very clean luxurious rooms with walk-in closets and jacuzzi tubs, an outstanding waterfall pool with a bar (maintenance closed it for some), a phenomenal Italian restaurant, complimentary valet, a convenient dining-and-attractions spot, and brilliant staff praised from reception to valet. One severe dissent calls it the worst five-star hardware they've seen: a sewage-smelling room, weak pressure with no hot water on a November desert night, hair stuck to the hairdryer, and balcony drafts. A booked king also arrived as two full beds.
