“Tst's gateway hotel”
Inside Harbour City's huge mall — buses and the metro near — Gateway Hotel Hong Kong is a convenient liked stay: a nice clean room, excellent service, a good executive lounge with all-day snacks, a birthday surprise of wine, cake and chocolate, a sharp three-bed value find, strong summer air conditioning and a gorgeous Victoria Peak view for one. Cautions: a dated-look room, no in-room tea, coffee only, a flaky bathroom socket that failed a hairdryer, an empty fridge and a thinner spread than a rival.
