Is San Diego Mission Bay Resort good? Overview, pros and cons

“Mission Bay's split”
San Diego Mission Bay Resort is a pretty-good better-than-expected stay — a liked front-desk messaging line, a nice room, a great dog-friendly location near SeaWorld, the zoo and a kids' playground, good scenery, and warm staff who re-vacuumed a carpet for an allergic guest; a giant possum spotted from the balcony at night proved a cute cameo. Caveats though: the building runs older with poor soundproofing and a moldy-or-pet smell in rooms, the kids' pool looked a bit dirty, and remember the resort fee.
