“Colón's nh stay”
On a perfect yet-quiet safe spot — Retiro park close, the metro near, the Royal Palace a forty-minute walk — NH Collection Madrid Colon is an excellent-ratio stay: clean simple rooms, very friendly staff, a good varied breakfast, unchanged across four days though, and quiet surroundings. Nits: a slightly-high room rate and a hot-cold-fluctuating shower.
