“Jackson Park's cannery”
Jackson Park Inn is a true-gem great stay — a beautifully-renovated canned-food warehouse turned boutique with exposed brick and beams, large well-decorated appointed rooms with double sinks, an okay king mattress, great shower pressure, a delightful pretty-good continental breakfast downstairs, a convenient easy-to-find small-town spot off the interstate near local food and stores plus a walkable brewery and pizza place, and wonderful staff; guests definitely return. Caveats though: trains pass with horns between four and six a.m. and the walls run paper thin — light sleepers should plan accordingly.
