“Rio's monte alegre”
In a bustling but convenient spot, Hotel Monte Alegre earns well-located good marks for many: a clean comfortable modern room in a renovated old building, a small pool, a great decent breakfast, beyond-helpful responsive friendly staff, a quiet-in-the-hustle room and excellent value. Dissents though: many homeless around, minor safety issues souring one stay, no room cleaning for one, a same-every-day breakfast and a long front-desk wait.
