“Parkside's split verdict”
Parkside Hotel is a decent convenient stay — a large quiet comfortable grand European-style building near the ring road that suits a midway stop between Chengdu and Wulong, decently clean tidy rooms (one very large, one normal), and convenient access for nearby concerts. Caveats though: some areas look a bit dated; the hotel sits about thirty minutes from the airport and an hour from downtown; and one guest received a previously-smoked room despite requesting non-smoking — they were moved to a better room, but learned that booking-app requests may not be heeded.
