“Omni William Penn's faded grandeur”
Omni William Penn Hotel is a beautiful historic Pittsburgh property — wonderful rooms (one with a surprise second bathroom and comfortable lighting), the loved Tap Room and bakery, a nice breakfast menu with staff remembering names, a great walkable location near the train with reasonable garage parking across the street, and mostly-friendly staff. Notable issues though: a forty-minute valet wait where the request was never relayed, some visibly-unhappy front-desk staff, a declined feel with a dead room phone and stained sheets in one stay, nearly-closed shops and dining that left a snowed-in guest with only a bar, and base-room windows facing an interior wall.
