“Canal-side jewel in the Nine Streets”
Ambassade Hotel is a small jewel on a quiet Amsterdam canal in the Nine Streets — away from the busiest center yet walkable to museums, the Jordaan, shopping and canal tours. Staff are the highlight: wonderful, kind, smiley and welcoming, making trips feel special. Rooms are large with huge bathrooms, charming decor and exceptional cleanliness; the restaurant and bar are excellent and breakfast delightful. One practical caveat for some rooms: a narrow, shallow spiral staircase up to the bedroom and bathroom — easily dealt with only if agile.
