Porto Veneziano Hotel is an exceptional charming stay — a vintage-elegant hotel right by the old port with an excellent quiet location, its own parking (a key reason guests chose it), rooms better than the photos, a very good first-class breakfast and dinner, comfortable beds, blackout blinds, adjustable air conditioning and well-sealed doors in front rooms, a handy laundry about ten minutes' walk away, and friendly helpful staff who made it one guest's best hotel experience. Caveats though: port-side traffic can be bad at times, and some facilities are fairly ordinary.
