“Malmo's storied stay”
A street from Central Station — walkable on the left to dodge cobblestones with luggage — on Malmo's shopping street under an hour from Copenhagen, Mayfair Hotel Tunneln is a lovely charming historic hotel full of stories: an ancient elevator, a loved mini-library lounge serving afternoon tea and coffee rivaling cafes, a beautiful courtyard, an excellent early-starting breakfast in a centuries-old cellar, 24-hour self-serve coffee and tea, small characterful rooms and on-request-only cleaning that suits undisturbed stays. Notes: decor is dated, one night had an hour-long power fault, and entrance-side rooms get morning noise.
