“Saigon's liberty centre”
In District 1 — the post office, palace and pink church within hundreds of metres — Liberty Central Saigon Centre Hotel is a second-to-none repeat stay: walkable sights, easy food and massage, a big room, a rich Vietnamese-and-Western breakfast with rotating menus, warm service hailing taxis at the door, refillable filtered water and respectful responsive housekeeping. Cautions: slightly dated decor and facilities, plus lukewarm hot water.
