“Stockholm's prison hotel”
On a beautiful quiet city-outskirts island, Långholmen Hotell is a great charming unique stay in an 1670 villa turned spinning mill turned prison turned hotel: a characterful family room the kids loved, clean beds and towels, a hairdryer and safe, a must-see small museum, an excellent restaurant and a good breakfast — time-witness atmosphere included. Notes: the nearest subway or bus sits ten-to-fifteen minutes away and gravel paths make suitcase-hauling hard, and one room ran very cold.
