Gran Hotel Claridge Granada - Preferred Hotels & Resorts is a wonderful Granada hotel — a top location across a lane from the cathedral with the commercial dining-and-shopping district around it, great very new rooms, attentive warm service that made guests not want to leave, good hygiene and facilities, and easy sightseeing (a quick taxi reaches the Alhambra and the walk back is pleasant). The one note: valet parking carries a daily fee.
