“Sommerro's art-deco Oslo”
Sommerro is a beautiful art-deco hotel in a historic Oslo building near trams and the airport line — Nordic-traditional decor, a rich breakfast mixing cold buffet and cooked egg orders (rare passionfruit and kiwi), multiple in-house restaurants and bars, and warm eager staff. Caveats though: service and fittings fell short of five-star for one — no takeaway toiletries or slippers, charged minibar and face masks, an old hairdryer, weak shower pressure, audible upstairs footsteps, no night light — and a sixth-floor twin had a tiny unopenable window lit only by a skylight.
