“Diplomat's century of sightseeing”
Hotel Diplomat is a great surely-return stay — a century-old Stockholm hotel in an excellent location walking distance to the old town and major art museums with lovely scenery en route, small but fully-equipped rooms including a capsule coffee machine, a nice breakfast room serving a typical continental spread rich in cold cuts and cheeses, a restaurant open into the evening, and amazing reception staff who accommodated an early check-in. Caveats though: some rooms involve stairs — request a stair-free one if it matters.
