A minute from the main station, Axel Guldsmeden is a beautiful atmospheric boutique stay for many: nicely-decorated eco-friendly spaces that set it apart from austere rivals, a very clean room, friendly helpful staff, a tasty breakfast and a successful in-house restaurant. A severe dissent though: creaky old floorboards and audible upstairs footsteps, hot-cold shower swings, no blackout curtains — no daytime sleep — no AC, just a fan, a cold perfunctory front desk, superficial daily tidying without vacuuming and coffee or milk refills only on request, a not-recommended verdict.
