Riviera Beach House is a character-filled boutique in an unbeatable walkable Santa Barbara spot — cool stylish decor, a lobby guests enjoyed lingering in, clean efficient well-appointed rooms, easy strolls to restaurants and Stearns Wharf, and very nice staff. The recurring caveat: rooms run much tighter than the photos suggest, with the smallest showers some had ever used and an odd head design that floods the floor; one room went uncleaned with towels and trash on request only, trains pass audibly, and weekend rates feel steep for the size.
