“Hard Rock's split”
Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach is a very nice clean hotel with pleasant staff — a live band and vocalist in the ground-floor restaurant, good views from inside, and a warm jacuzzi dip when the weather turned too cold to swim. Caveats though are serious: rooms can be loud during hotel events, the thermostat is locked so you cannot cool the room, one booking arrived different from the platform's pictures — the lesson: book direct — and a severe review reports a paid private balcony that upper floors could look straight onto, where glass broken above was brushed down onto where a wife had been sitting.
