“Edinburgh's novotel centre”
Walking distance to the castle, Royal Mile, Princes Street Gardens and the university — buses plentiful though the station is a stretch — Novotel Edinburgh Centre is a terrific reliable stay: a good-size clean spacious soundproof room, a rare city-centre indoor heated pool and sauna, a rich breakfast and a can't-go-wrong consistency. Cautions though: a small fill-fast car park, arrive early, weak shower flow, a small pool and an average-tasting restaurant.
