“Tru Ankeny's split”
Tru by Hilton Ankeny is a nice bare-bones stay — everything new, bright and clean, a great breakfast with a variety of options, and friendly staff who finally found a room after an early-arrival wait. Caveats though: rooms lack a closet, coffee pot and clock, a running toilet had a sticking handle the guest fixed themselves, the pool ran freezing with no hot tub, crumbs and a stray hair hid under the blankets of one bed, and the desk went unattended for ten minutes.
