Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve is a beautiful privacy-first resort in San Jose del Cabo, twenty-five minutes from the airport — spacious comfortable rooms, outstanding staff like Andres and Carlos, loved dinners at HUMO and breakfasts at El Barrio, and an amazing spa well above stateside rates. One five-night guest found it 'rough' beneath the Reserve badge: keycards failed thrice, the plastic shower trickled, the standard-brand toilet and thin tissues disappointed, warped shutters leaked sunrise, the wine cabinet glowed all night, and HUMO served salty food slowly while double-charging. Another had a dead plunge-pool pump and a door that wouldn't lock.
