The Ritz-Carlton Shenzhen is a beautifully maintained, spotless hotel in an excellent location — newly renovated rooms, ample staffing and quick responses, and an executive lounge that dominates the praise: five distinct meals daily with Spanish ham, smoked salmon and aged pork, sommelier-poured wines and whiskies, a free suite upgrade, egg-allergy rice specially made for a child each day, and a Ritz lion gift. Erick, Mandy Li and Cindy Long are named for warm care, and evening turndown is meticulous. One note: new wooden furniture gave the room an odor until a purifier ran; the keycard design felt plain to a collector.
