“Beijing's shangri-la stay”
With a twelfth-floor club check-in and a quiet comfortable executive lounge, Shangri-La Hotel, Beijing is a very good excellent stay for many: a very clean thoughtful-service room, a fantastic executive suite, a kind concierge team that grants requests, afternoon fresh fruit from a named rep, a birthday cake and an invite-family-back intent. A severe dissent though: dated layout — a shower-in-tub curtain setup — warm housekeeping but a poor front desk that dodged a reasonable request and a complaint threat, a very average not-worth-the-rate verdict.
