Walking distance to the BTS and Central mall with a shuttle boat to IconSiam and a convenient river ferry, Shangri-La Bangkok is a favorite pick for its relaxing river views: special-focus good service, a wide breakfast selection, lovely staff, pool and restaurants, and baby-friendly provision of a cot and skincare goods. A serious dissent though: the old hotel's cleanliness fell short per one guest — a badly-cleaned bathroom with serious mould, a yellowed toilet interior, unwiped visible handprints on the headboard suede, and a Krungthep Wing shower that wouldn't take a filter, forcing sauna-side washing.
