“Kursaal Bern's tram perch”
Swissôtel Kursaal Bern is a beautiful modern hotel opposite the tram to the station — spacious comfortable rooms with free daily minibar drinks, a fantastic local-product breakfast, a great rooftop terrace and steak restaurant, surprise birthday chocolate, and friendly welcoming staff. Caveats though: housekeeping opened a door with a key at ten am without knocking, and a credit-card deposit request felt unusual to one guest.
