Meliá Aurea Nha Trang is a beautiful newly-built stay — a five-star resort in northern Nha Trang split between the Coral villa zone and the Aurea high-rise, whose high-floor sea-view rooms beat the villas for bay panoramas; new well-maintained hardware, an eighth-floor dining area, a gorgeous ninth-floor sea-facing sky pool, a little mini beach, a birthday dessert gift, a rich breakfast mixing Vietnamese specialties and Western dishes, stable Western lunches and dinners, great reception and restaurant staff, and quick responses when small issues arose. Caveats though: the poolside service was not a pleasant moment — a pity in a structure built for relaxed holidays.
