“Handelshof Leipzig's split”
Steigenberger Icon Grandhotel Handelshof Leipzig is a very central stay — a very very central location minutes on foot from most sights, nicely-decorated air-conditioned rooms (a relief in a forty-degree heatwave), a plentiful breakfast, and impeccable service — when a room was only half-done at check-in, housekeeping finished within twenty minutes and sent a welcome plate of sweets. Caveats though: a severe dissent reports hairs in the bed, being handed a key to another guest's occupied room, no cleaning by nine p.m., and absent unresponsive management — not recommended, they say.
