Southern Sun Rosebank, Johannesburg is a satisfied stay for many — a leafy quiet residential pocket two or three blocks from nice restaurants, an upscale supermarket, pharmacy and a Starbucks Reserve with a shaded patio, clean well-managed rooms with comfortable bedding, kind quick-to-help staff, well-maintained facilities, and a magnificent breakfast; a midnight room change for noise was granted though the impression was already dented. Caveats though: the air conditioning did not cool for one guest, the breakfast was also called basic elsewhere, and a glass toilet-and-shower wall offers no privacy from the other room occupant.
