Pilibhit House, Haridwar – IHCL SeleQtions is a beautiful converted haveli on crowded streets offering a divine experience — a private ghat for Ganga bathing and aarti, live music, palmistry and poojas, mouthwatering local and international food (huevos-free though the high tea is complimentary), a good gym, kids' area and spa, clean rooms — take a river view — and incredibly warm staff with many names thanked. One dissent: the restaurant manager offered excuses, written requests were needed for a child's meal, and it felt poor value for a long leisure stay.
