Just steps from the central station and subway — the centre an easy walk — Duo Milan Porta Nuova, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is a nice newer stay: new facilities, good hygiene, a big room with a comfortable bed, welcome fruit, a rich breakfast and friendly reception , though a mid-aged desk woman stayed smileless. Serious complaints though: mosquitoes bit guests repeatedly , two took a dozen bites over two nights, the hotel denied and claimed pest control , plus a disappointing room: missing bathroom amenities, a grime-and-hair-covered hairdryer and poor soundproofing waking a guest.
